The Deacons of OBC met on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:00 p.m., to discuss ministry opportunities and The London Baptist Confession of 1689 chapter 7 on God’s Covenant.

William opened the meeting with prayer, praising God and asking for wisdom and discernment.

We reviewed church finances, ministry opportunities, and various projects that are headed by different deacons. The spring church workday was a success, with many items getting done.

The ministry guest was Jenny Hare, VBS director. She told us about how changing the time to the evening gave people who hadn’t volunteered in the past the opportunity to serve in VBS. 

She was still in need of a few volunteers but was encouraged by the response. VBS with be June 13-17, in the evening from 6:00-8:30 p.m. The program will be on Saturday, June 18.
