The Deacons of Omaha Bible Church met on the evening of March 26 for our regular meeting. We began the meeting with John Schmoll leading us in prayer, praising God for the salvific work of Jesus Christ in redeeming sinners, and expressing our trust in Him to continue building and equipping His children to serve and love His Church.

Martin Bast facilitated our meeting and Mike Holloway shared the finance and attendance report, followed by other news and updates. We praise God for the strong giving as we continue to make strides with our income exceeding expenses over the past few months.

Michael Herrington led us in a devotional and discussion on the Perseverance of the Saints from Chapter 17 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689. It is a hope-filled reality that the elect of God are eternally saved, kept by the power of God unto salvation, and their names have been written in the book of life from all eternity.

We had the pleasure of having Todd Swift, an elder at OBC as our ministry guest. Todd leads a Home Group alongside shepherding and encouraging the OBC body.

The deacons reviewed multiple service items, including the Spring All-Church workday on April 20, and various Body-life opportunities. Mike Holloway closed our meeting with prayer expressing our gratitude for the opportunity to serve the one living God!
