The deacons met on Tuesday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss ministry opportunities, a devotional, and a few of the ministries that Frank Barber oversees and is involved in.

Martin Bast opened in prayer, praising Christ for his finished work and that He is continuing to add to his body.

We reviewed church finances, ministry opportunities, and various projects that are headed by different deacons. The church storage/resource room is being decluttered and is starting to look much better.

Vimal led the discussion of the London Baptist Confession of 1689, chapters 28 and 29. The deacons were encouraged on the preciseness and clarity of the chapters on Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. 

Frank Barber encouraged us about being home with family during COVID and the opportunities to share the gospel and getting to know each other better. We are also thankful for Frank’s service as the perpetual treasurer at OBC.

The prison ministry has been shut down, but Frank is still able to encourage inmates and share the Gospel by email.
