Deacons Report

We met for our monthly meeting, via Zoom, on June 23 at 7:00 p.m. John Widhalm led us in a heartful prayer and then Pastor Mike Holloway prompted each of us to share a personal update from our current life situation.

While there was no guest ministry leader this month, Pastor Holloway shared a financial update that was a blessing and showed more than expected giving. Attendance remained steady between the three services and those live streaming.

He also said that there would be no face-to-face budget meetings between the pastors and ministry leaders this year. Further communications will come via phone and email.

Vimal George then led us through a discussion of the first seven paragraphs of chapter 26 in the London Baptist Confession of 1689 covering the Church. True members “are saints by calling, visibly manifesting and evidencing (in and by their profession and walking) their obedience unto that call of Christ, and do willingly consent to walk together...”

Amazing grace always binds and motivates the people of God to rest together in His salvation and work together to accomplish His good pleasure.

Service opportunities to needy members in our body were offered. Progress has been made in the development to video shorts to communicate to the body various ongoing ministries and opportunities for members to come alongside and serve.

A new riding mower has been purchased for better reliability. Interior painting progress was noted and a summer plan is underway to paint the yellow walls in the fellowship area gray.

Our next meeting was scheduled for July 28, 2020 and we agreed to welcome Frank Barber, elder, to be our guest ministry leader. Pastor Holloway closed our time in prayer and we adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
