The deacons gathered on July 26, with Keith Walter opening the meeting in prayer. The current financial update showed how God is continually moving the saints to faithful and better than budgeted giving. Pastor Mike Holloway then led us in a devotional of Article 27 of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith covering the Communion of the Saints which was carefully read and pondered anew. Because of God's doing in Christ, we are gathered and united to one another in love and have communion in each other's gifts and graces – obliged to perform such duties that conduce to our mutual good.

Our guest this month was Casey Stevens who leads the church's Safety and Security Team. He spoke soberly of the concern he and his team have for this ministry to be prepared for both common incidences as well as the worst-case scenarios. Vast preparations, policies and procedures have been established, but more work and serious decisions still lay ahead. He asks us to pray for their need of wisdom, observance and equipped servants.

Our Fall All-Church Work Day is scheduled for October 15th from 8:30am-12:00pm, and is open to all who desire to help us maintain the good property where we are able to gather and serve our God.

Our next meeting was scheduled for August 23, 2016. We closed again in prayer and adjourned at 9:00pm.
