The Deacons of Omaha Bible Church met on September 24 for our monthly meeting. Willie Zwiener led us in prayer, praising God for His goodness and graciousness towards us. We sought the Lord to help us serve the Body and continue to be impressed with who He is and what He has done for us through Christ Jesus.

Keith Walter was our meeting facilitator and reviewed the attendance and financial report. We were reminded of God’s abundant provision and care for us. We rejoiced in the increase in attendance and being able to add more seating in the auditorium. 

Ben Meier led us in devotion on the topic of Christian Liberty from Chapter 21 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689. We were called to remember our Christ-wrought freedom from the penalty and bondage of sin through His perfect obedience in life and death.

We were excited to have Greg Gensler join us as our ministry guest. Greg leads our Bookstore ministry, The Well. He shared with us the ongoing benefits of our upgraded transaction system, Clover.

Benefits include the ability to generate reports anytime/anywhere and inventory management. We thank the many volunteers who serve alongside Greg in the bookstore.

We reviewed our ongoing service opportunities within the church and other areas of need. We are planning to have our Church Workday on October 19 to tend to the interior and exterior upkeep of the building.

We closed our meeting with Keith Walter praying for the fruitfulness of our ministry to the Praise and Glory of our Lord!
