The Deacons met on Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00pm. Vimal George opened in prayer, giving thanks for the glorious riches we have in Christ and for the many ministries at OBC.

Pastor Mike Holloway facilitated the meeting, starting with an update on finances and giving for January. Giving was up significantly for the month, and expenses were down, giving us a healthy financial position. We gave thanks for the abundance God has blessed us with this ministry year.

There is a new Getting Started class in April. If you’re considering becoming a member of OBC, you will want to be a part of the class. There is also a spring work day coming up on April 14. Keep an eye out for details on how to serve that morning.

Our ministry leader guest was Willie Zwiener, who leads the Children’s Christian Education (CCE) Ministry, which includes both Sunday school and Children’s Church, as well as Children’s Truth Academy (CTA) and Vacation Bible School (VBS).

CCE is a vital ministry in the life of OBC and touches many with the news of Christ. If you're not currently serving and looking for a service opportunity, please contact Willie Zwiener to see how you can serve.
