Ministry Update From Kwacha Simwaka

Christ Seminary has trained several pastors across the continent of Africa. Many of these pastors begin the training with a charismatic background.

There are those who wonder why we accept men with charismatic or Pentecostal theology. The answer is found in the transformation witnessed during the training. These men are introduced to Christ Seminary’s statement of faith during the time of interviews.

In helping them recognize the drastic difference of doctrines between our institution and their churches, most of these candidates continue to pursue training with us. It is always amazing to watch God work gradually in their hearts to begin thinking biblically as opposed to earthly.

So, we take men like Mzohle who comes from a well-established charismatic church in Kwazulu Natal. He has served as a senior pastor of the church for several years.

After learning the biblical way of shepherding the flock of God, he has endeavored to implement these teachings in his church to no avail. Upon realizing the failure of his church to embrace sound biblical teaching, he decided to leave the church and start a new church plant.

It was a hard decision knowing the financial challenges following this resolution. We continue to see God transforming many men through the teaching of His truth. Through this training, men change the way they study scripture, and their lives are affected tremendously as well.

We are very thankful for your fervent prayers. Continue to pray for brother Mzohle as he starts this new work; pray that the Lord will enable him serve faithfully those whom God brings to him.
