Elders Report

The Elders of Omaha Bible Church met on the morning of Wednesday, February 12. The meeting began with a reading of Chapter 5 of The 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.

The chapter highlighted God’s providence. What an amazing God we serve who does “uphold, direct, dispose, and govern all His creatures and things, from the greatest even to the least, by His most wise and holy providence…to the praise of the glory of His wisdom, power, justice, infinite goodness, and mercy.”

Following our discussion on God’s providence, the elders discussed various ministry items. We are so very grateful that the Lord has allowed us to partner with the members of Omaha Bible Church for the progress of the gospel.

It was a joy to see 19 new members join OBC in February. I always look forward to New Member Inductions.

The visual representation of the new members up front is an encouragement, and reciting our membership agreement together as a congregation is always a blessing and moment of unity as a church body.

With spring approaching, be looking for an opportunity to serve at our Church workday. It will be coming up in April. This is always a great opportunity to get to know others as you work on projects around the building and grounds.

Another area of ministry coming up is Vacation Bible School. What a privilege to teach the children the gospel of Jesus Christ every year at VBS. Many volunteers are needed to serve in this ministry. If you are interested in serving, contact Jenny Hare.

There are so many great opportunities to be involved and serving at OBC. Let’s be good stewards of the gifts the Lord has given us by His grace and serve Him and His church.
