Elders Report

The elders met for their monthly meeting on the morning of Wednesday, March 10. Pastor Pat opened in prayer giving thanks for the direction and grace the Lord gives to us.

Frank Barber led the Elders through Chapter 18 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 on Assurance of Faith. It was good to be reminded that we have “an infallible assurance of faith, founded on the blood and righteousness of Christ revealed in the gospel.”

The financial reports had not yet been finalized and will be approved at a later meeting.

The elders spent some time discussing what next steps will look like for Omaha Bible Church in regard to services and ministries opening up. For the time being, we will continue to maintain four services with distancing in place.

This has been our practice due to the mask mandate that is in place in the city of Omaha. Should the city of Omaha lift the mask mandate, we will communicate to the body any changes to our Sunday morning schedule.

We are so thankful that we have been able to continue fruitful gospel ministry over the past year. The year has not been without challenge, but the Lord has continued to provide and bless the ministry at OBC.

We are grateful that the Lord continues to bring new members to OBC. We were glad to approve more new members, who will be inducted officially on a Sunday morning in May.

Our meeting concluded with Dallas Focht closing in prayer.
