Elders Report

The Elders of Omaha Bible Church met for their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 13 at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Pat opened the meeting in prayer, rejoicing in the joy of knowing Christ and proclaiming the gospel.

Mike Holloway then led us in a discussion on the 14th chapter of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 on saving faith. We were encouraged and reminded of the regenerating work of the spirit.

The confession states, “The grace of faith, whereby the elect are enabled to believe to the saving of their souls, is the work of the Spirit of Christ in their heart.” What a joy to rejoice and boast in the saving work of our awesome God!

Frank Barber then shared the financial report for the month of February. We had an income of $55,161 compared to a budget of $58,021 for the month. This gives us a YTD income of $397,468 compared to a budget of $377,651.

For expenses, we totaled $54,848 compared to a budget of $55,277. This puts our YTD expenses at $317,663 compared to a budget of $327,246. We are encouraged by the giving of the body at OBC and pray that the Lord would continue to abundantly provide for the progress of the gospel ministry at OBC.

Our meeting concluded with a brief discussion ministry items. A new Getting Started class will begin on April 8 at 9:00 a.m. in the conference room with Pastor Pat. This class gives new OBC attenders an opportunity to get to know more about ministry at OBC. This also serves as our membership class. Any who would like to become members should plan to attend.

The meeting was closed in prayer by Chris Peterson. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10.
