The January Deacons meeting was held on Tuesday, January 24th at 7:00 p.m. Martin Bast filled in for Mike Holloway as facilitator. John Schmoll opened our time together in prayer.

Our meeting began with an update on the church financial situation. We were very encouraged by the faithfulness of the church members who contribute to the regular functioning of the church.

Next we reviewed the final chapter of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 on The Last Judgment. It's always encouraging to be reminded that the truths that we hold to are much older than us. We can rejoice that we are nearly 350 years closer to the second coming of Christ than when these things were written.

Joining us as our guest ministry leader was Nicole Schmoll, who leads our Women’s Ministry. Nicole reviewed the schedule of events for Women's Ministry in 2017. It was especially encouraging and enlightening to realize the number of women involved in putting these events together. Nicole certainly has a big job, but she has assembled an excellent team with many capable hands to "make the work light.”

Also discussed was the upcoming Church Workday scheduled for April 15. This is another opportunity for everyone to be involved with others in caring for the facility that God has provided for us.

Vimal George closed the meeting in prayer thanking God for His faithfulness. Our next meeting is scheduled for February 28.
