The deacons met for their monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 24 at the home of Keith Walter as we had a smaller group in attendance.

We went over the financial statement and expenses from the previous month. We are thankful for what God has provided financially and for the giving of the body at OBC. 

We discussed Chapter 11 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 on Justification. We discussed the obedience of Christ to accomplish redemption and that our justification is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Although times have changed, the message has not.

Pastor Mike Grimes was our guest ministry leader. He spoke of the technology side of his ministry within the church. It was good to be reminded that technology affects us all in so many areas of life, including the time we spend at church. Mike is also involved in a nursing home ministry at Skyline Manor. He said that this is a great ministry to those people who can be forgotten about on a regular basis.

We closed in prayer at 9:00 p.m. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, May 22.
