The Deacons of Omaha Bible Church met on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m. Vimal George opened us in prayer, giving thanks for the blessings we have in Christ and the honor we have to serve.

Pastor Mike Holloway reviewed the giving updates for the previous month. While giving was down, expenses were as well. Giving has trended up in November, and we praised God for the faithful giving of the body at OBC and for all that He has blessed us with.

Pastor Mike also shared that we will have six new members join at the end of January and that several others were looking to join as well.

Keith Walter then led us through chapter 14 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 on Saving Faith. We were encouraged, once again, by the excellency of Christ, who is both the author and finisher of our faith.

Dan Perina was our ministry guest leader. He shared thoughts on his first year of being an elder. He also leads the middle school ministry. It was greatly encouraging to hear his passion and vision for the ministry and how he desires to impact the children with the gospel.

We discussed numerous other ministry plans, including cleaning out the ministry store room and needs of members in the body. 

We closed in prayer at 9:15 p.m. The next meeting is Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 7:00 p.m.
