Elders Report

The OBC Elders met for their regular monthly meeting at 6:30 a.m. on June 12, 2019. The meeting began with Pastor Pat leading the elders in a time of prayer.

The Lord commands us as Christians to pray about all things, especially when it comes to local church ministry and the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord. He is our Savior and He is Lord over all things and for this we are so very thankful.

Even this week when Omaha Bible Church has been hosting its annual Vacation Bible School, we are seeing record attendance and a record number of helpers. We are praising the Lord for His mighty power to work in the hearts of all, to see and believe in the saving work of Christ Jesus.

Please continue to pray for this ministry and its leaders. We also pray that many more people in Omaha would hear the saving message of Christ and believe.

Even though it’s the beginning of summer, it will be a short time before fall ministries resume. This will mean fruitful labor for many, serving in various roles to support and proclaim the message of Christ and all that that entails. Please be in prayer about the faithfulness of the ministry leaders and for all of those involved as servants of Christ.

Also, it is that time of year when the budget of 2019-2020 is being formulated and planned. Please pray for wisdom and guidance from Christ that we will honor Him in this vital exercise that helps the church to effectually serve Him.

Frank Barber discussed the Giving and Attendance Report from May 2019. The monthly general offerings totals were $52,373.97 against a plan of $57,764.00.

We are praying for continued sacrificial giving to continue in the months coming up (June thru August), to meet and reach our budget for the year that ends in August. Your prayers as our church are vital!

We are amazed to see how God has blessed us with many opportunities for ministries here at Omaha Bible Church as well as in India and in South Africa.

The meeting closed at 7:45 a.m. The next regularly scheduled elder meeting is planned for July 9, 2019.
