Ministry Update From Kwacha Simwaka
We just kicked off our second semester in the middle of July and have lost a few students for various reasons. One in particular is Cleopas from Zimbabwe, who is dealing with some illness that has prevented him from attending class.
It was encouraging to see most of the first-year students return to campus. This is the largest number of first year students that has remained consistent. We ask that you pray that the Lord will continue to give them strength to finish well and strong this semester. Pray also that what we are teaching them will make an immediate impact in their lives.
Amanda and I are still shepherding the young adults in our local church. We have received several new faces that are coming from charismatic backgrounds. But we notice a hunger to study the Word, and though they struggle, many of them humbly receive the teaching with many questions to help them through.
Jones, one of our young adults studying at Christ Seminary, leads a university bible study. He lost his job last month and needs a place to live. Pray with us that the Lord will provide suitable accommodation and other needs to continue with his studies. Pray as well for our conference on August 29-31. We have invited pastors from different locations to join us for a time of refreshment and equipping.
Thank you for your love and care for us. Your prayers are deeply appreciated, and may the Lord continue to extend His kingdom through eagerness to be part of His mission.
