Elders Report October 2025
The elders met for the monthly meeting on the evening of Tuesday, September 16. Pastor Pat opened the meeting with prayer, thanking God for this ministry and also prayed for those hurting within the church.
Dave Guthrie read Article 5 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 titled, Of Providence. It is a blessing to read through the Confession and be comforted by it, knowing that Christians over the years have been encouraged by the Confession as we are today, and that God’s providence is true today as it was then.
Dave Guthrie shared the August financial report as well as the annual financial report. Giving for the month of August was short about $12,000, but expenses were also under budget by about $5,000 for the month. Even with the lower giving for August, we still had an incredible year.
The budget for this year was $950,000 and the giving surpassed that and came in at $978,187.47. Actual expenses also ended lower than what was budgeted, which resulted in a positive net for the year at $39,365.22. We are thankful to God for providing the money to the church to do ministry. The elders are excited to see how God will continue to do ministry at Omaha Bible Church through the body of believers.
Andrew Meyer gave an update on the Pactum conference. There are 320 people registered to attend the conference, and 50 pastors have signed up for the pastor’s event on Friday afternoon. We are encouraged by all the volunteers working diligently to see the conference come together and we look forward to the conference and meeting all the people who come for it.
The meeting ended in prayer.
For His Glory,
Dan Perina
