The Elders and Pastors of Omaha Bible Church met for our monthly board meeting. We opened in prayer and with thanksgiving for the work the Lord is doing at OBC. We thanked God for the spirit of unity, and the priority of promoting and defending the gospel. It is very encouraging to see God’s Word working on the hearts of the OBC body. Pat’s recent teaching from Philippians 2 comes to mind that we should be of the same mind, the same love, and of one mind. With Christ as our example, we see a spirit of humility as we set aside our own agendas, and link arms to edify and encourage one another, boasting in Christ our Savior.

We approved the financials for the month of May 2025. Our fiscal year ends 8/31/25. YTD (9/1/24 thru 5/31/25) total giving is $760,189.17 against a budget of $712,500.03. Lord willing, we are on track to meet, and probably exceed our annual budget for this year. We praise God for your sacrificial and cheerful giving.

Based upon the input from each of the ministry leaders, the elders will put together a budget for the next fiscal year, which starts in September. Pray for the elders as we strive to be good stewards of God’s money, and also seek to grow and expand the proclamation and promotion of the gospel.

We recently added Pastor Johnny Gravino in Rome as a supported missionary from OBC. That is in addition to our two missionaries who have and will pastor churches in Southeast Asia. The growth and outreach of The Pactum podcast is helping members of OBC, along with pastors and listeners throughout the US, and overseas. Pray for the outreach in foreign markets, as well as at home in Omaha and the US.

You often hear in secular circles that there is a lack of community for many people. What a privilege we have at OBC to have a true community amongst brothers and sisters who love Jesus and one another. Press in and join a homegroup, a men’s or women’s bible study, and look for ways to serve. You will be blessed, and as a community of believers, we will be blessed as you use your spiritual gifts for the strengthening and edification of the body.
