The Deacons of Omaha Bible Church met at the home of John Schmoll on Tuesday, August 26, at 7:00 p.m. Greg Gensler opened us in prayer, giving thanks to God for the graciousness shown to us as believers.

John Schmoll shared news and financial updates and we praised God for His abundant blessings to us as a body. He shared with us that Pastor Holloway is planning to retire at the end of this year. 

Willie Zwiener led us through chapter 30 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689, which is on The Lord’s Supper. There was much reflection on the importance of the wording of this section and its application in the life of the Church.

Our ministry guest leader was Amy Buller, who leads the Nursery ministry, and shares her work with Karen Walter. The nursery is open to infants and children up to age three. Pray for the helpers to be aware of ministry needs with the parents of the children in the nursery, and for the continuing need for more helpers to volunteer to serve in the nursery ministry. The deacons reviewed numerous service items, particularly in light of the upcoming Pactum Conference, as well as body life needs. The meeting was closed at 9:00 p.m. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 23, at 7:00 p.m.
