The Deacons of Omaha Bible Church met at the home of Keith Walter on Tuesday, September 24 at 7:00 pm.

John Schmoll opened with prayer. Vimal George read the minutes of the last meeting on August 27.

Our ministry guest leader was fellow deacon Willie Zwiener. Willie leads the Children's Sunday School Ministry and he gave a current overview of the ministry. He answered a number of questions regarding the ministry and explained how OBC develops and uses our own curriculum. If you desire to serve in the Sunday School ministry, please reach out to Willie to learn how you might help.

OBC News, Updates and Finances were presented by John Schmoll. The fiscal year recently ended on August 31. It was very positive, ending the year with giving above the budget for the year. We thanked God for his blessing through the generous giving of his children to further the work of spreading the Good News, here in Omaha, and to other parts of the world

Michael Herrington led us through chapter 22 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689 on Worship and The Sabbath Day. It was an encouraging time as we discussed how the authors laid out how we are to worship the true God.

We discussed several old business items, including painting around the building and other repairs. Keith Walter filled us in on the sprinkler system watering the new grass planted on the east lawn.

We closed in prayer at 9:00 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m.
