The Deacons of Omaha Bible Church met on Tuesday, January 27 at 7:00 p.m. John Wildhalm opened us in prayer, giving thanks for the blessings we have in Christ and the honor we have to serve the body at OBC.

Pastor Mike Grimes led us through news and financial updates. Giving was up in December versus the beginning of the year, which was an encouragement to all present. We praised God for the faithful giving of the body.

Willie Zwiener then led us through Lord’s Day 2 of the Heidelberg Catechism. The section clearly focuses on the Law and what’s required of us. Praise God for Jesus fulfilling the Law in our place!

Pastor Grimes also shared the encouraging news that OBC saw ten people get baptized in December, with another 11 joining as members. The next new member class is scheduled for March 28.

We then discussed a variety of facility updates, including the newly installed sound system and some repairs to the furnace. Additionally, registration is now open for the upcoming Pactum Conference. The Conference is scheduled for October 2 – 3, 2026. 

Pastor Grimes closed us in prayer at 9:00 p.m. The next meeting is Tuesday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m.
