The deacons met on Tuesday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m. at Martin Bast’s house. Martin opened in prayer for different needs within the body and for opportunities to serve and glorify God. 

Vimal George reviewed previous minutes and provided an OBC financial update. Vimal and Keith provided an update on the new Strive project. It was encouraging to hear what the leaders at OBC had committed to the project.

Vimal then led us through the Lord’s Day 5 of the Heidelberg Catechism. This section focused on God’s righteous requirement, judgment, and who could fulfill that righteous requirement. 

The deacons then discussed facility updates and improvements with the Church workday, providing an opportunity to serve and maintain the facility. They also discussed other needs within the body and opportunities to serve.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, June 23. Michael Herrington closed us in prayer at 9:00 p.m.
