The Deacons of Omaha Bible Church met on Tuesday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting was opened in prayer, praising God for His blessing and mercy to us and asking for wisdom as we seek to serve the church body at OBC.

Pastor Mike Grimes provided an update on the news and finances of OBC. Giving was down some, but current expenses were also down, so the financial position remains good. 

He provided an update on membership and the update of our membership roster recently. A men’s breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, April 18. Pastor Pat will be speaking at it, and plans are for similar breakfasts to take place in the future.

Tom Sharman updated us on the new sound system that has been installed and is being tested and adjusted.

Michael Herrington led our study of Lord’s Day 3, of the Heidelberg Catechism. This Lord’s day addresses human nature, creation in God’s image, the origin of sin, and total depravity. It is by God’s grace alone that we can stand before the law with assurance of His Salvation, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

The meeting was adjourned with prayer by Pastor Mike Grimes at 9:00 p.m. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, at 7:00 p.m.
