The Deacons of Omaha Bible Church met on Tuesday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. Dwight Eveland opened our monthly meeting in prayer with thanks and petitioning the Lord for His directing of us.

Pastor Mike Holloway shared details of the good financial outlook through January, noting next the four new members to be welcomed on March 9, and the next membership class on March 29. Also, we are still waiting for the special part being made to repair the sanctuary furnace.

Willie Zwiener led us through chapter 26 of the London Baptist Confession of 1689. It was one of the longer chapters, and specifically addresses The Church, detailing its nature, structure, and purpose - with the spiritual authority of Christ as the head of the church.

Our ministry guest leader was Gina Gardner. Gina shared with us her role over the Fellowship Ministry, scheduling kitchen volunteers on Sundays and special events like the fall family picnic. Significantly, she organizes Sunday refreshments and purchasing/stocking of supplies. She personally writes thank you notes to the dozens of people that help. Her thoughtful and caring demeanor is applied with her seasoned restaurant skills to serve and encourage the OBC body of Christ! Thank you, Gina!

Finally, we reviewed past agenda items, Body Life needs, and fittingly, closed in prayer at 9:00 p.m.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March, 25 at 7:00 p.m.
