Here is the report from the 2008 Backyard Mission:

During the week of August 11-16, 2008 the OBC family had the exciting opportunity of following Jesus Christ into our very own neighborhood.  We learned of many needs for families and children in a North Omaha neighborhood near our main campus and were thrilled to have an opportunity to meet them.

Before the week of service began, an evangelism team went door to door introducing the upcoming ministry week, collecting needs and sharing the gospel.

We spent the week fixing homes, mowing lawns, staining wood porches, washing cars, trimming trees and whatever other physical needs we could meet.

Care groups cooked dinner and provided Bible studies for neighborhood families each night.

The abundant display of love from Omaha Bible Church members stirred the hearts of the neighborhood prompting many to ask for bible studies in their home and transportation to attend the preaching of the Word.

We give all the glory to God for using His people to share the love of Christ through service and evangelism!
