Care Groups

Care Groups meet in various homes throughout Sarpy County on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. The majority of the groups meet at 6 p.m. (The Fudge & Martina groups meet at 1pm, after am service for afternoon fellowship to accomodate those who commute from long distances on Sunday am)

The basic format for our time together is study & discussion, singing, prayer and fellowship. This setting is designed to foster spiritual growth through gospel-centered encouragement.

Current Study: Learning to Pray Biblically

When it comes to prayer two things are universally agreed upon by Christians: 1) Prayer is required, 2) Prayer is hard.

There are many reasons why prayer is hard. One of which is undoubtedly the fact that we do not know how to pray very well. Or perhaps better, we don't pray biblically. Thankfully the Bible gives us plenty of examples of godly leaders and their prayers. For example, the Apostle Paul regularly tells people how he is praying for them and why he is praying for them. This becomes very helpful for all of us today. We want to pray more faithfully and effectively.

Therefore, this study aims to inform, equip, and encourage us in the discipline of prayer. The study will run through the end of 2010.

If you are not attending a Care Group and want to be part of the study and enjoy the fellowship that flows out of these groups, please talk to one of the Care Group Leaders or feel free to attend one of the Care Groups listed on the right.
