During the 9:00 hour, Sunday School classes are offered for children and adults. Visit the Sunday School page for information about classes for children. Adult Sunday School classes are called Adult Bible School. We offer two recurring classes and a general session class.
Recurring Classes
Getting Started at OBC
This three week class helps to familiarize you with life and ministry at OBC. The class is led by Erik Raymond and covers such things as what we teach, how we do ministry, and how to get involved at the South Campus.
Fundamentals of the Faith (FOF)
Whether you are a new believer or have been walking with the Lord for many years FOF is as appropriate as it is valuable. The class reviews and reiterates the doctrines of the Christian faith in an interactive environment. FOF lasts for twelve weeks and is recommended after completing Getting Started.
General Session Classes
These classes offer a specific topic of study for adults. We examine Biblical texts systematically and show how to apply the life-changing truth of God's Word to our lives.
Current Class: An Introduction to Spiritual Gifts
What are spiritual gifts? Who receives them? What is their purpose? At times a controversial topic, spiritual gifts are vital to the life of the church as believers strive together to promote the fame of Jesus Christ and His gospel. Beginning July 13 during the Sunday School hour, the Adult Bible School class will offer answers to these questions and more about the nature, purpose and types of spiritual gifts.
