Sunday @ South 'The Day a Freak Met Jesus'

The great narrative of the life and works of Christ continues in Mark's gospel. In this section of Scripture we are introduced to one of the strangest people not only in the Bible, but perhaps in all of history. His encounter with Jesus and the subsequent reaction from the townspeople frame the story.
But, as usual, Mark is up to something more.
He is working hard to help us to understand who this Jesus is. And once again there is no mistaking his holiness and power.
The central point & outline for this week is:
Main Point: A holy Jesus is unsettling.
Outline: 3 Unsettling interactions with the holy Christ
1. The Freak (5.1-6, 18-20)
2. The Demons (5.7-13)
3. The Townspeople (5.14-17)
But, as usual, Mark is up to something more.
