Erik Raymond, Pastor of Preaching - South Campus

Erik was born and raised in Massachusetts and moved to Omaha while in the Air Force in 1995.  It was through a faithful co-worker that God brought the gospel to him in 1996.  Erik is a 2002 graduate of Grace University in Omaha and a 2005 graduate of the Pastoral Training Institute at OBC.  Before coming on staff, Erik served as a pastoral intern at OBC from 2002-2005.

Erik is the preaching pastor of OBC's South Campus.  This ministry focuses on establishing a God-centered expository ministry in Sarpy County, specifically the Bellevue, Offutt, Papillion area.

Erik enjoys spending time with his best friend and wife Christie, as well as their 5 children, Bryce, Luke, Alaynah, Alexis and Zoe. In addition, Erik enjoys running, reading, blogging and following the dominant pro sports scene in his native New England.

It is Erik's passion to proclaim the grace of God in Christ to all individuals, "We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ" (Col. 1.28).

Dave Pugh, Elder

Dave came to Omaha Bible Church after being transferred by the Air Force to Offutt Air Force Base.

He currently leads the Children's Ministry at OBC South Campus and leads a Care Group that meets in his home.

Dave came to faith in Jesus Christ while attending Texas A&M University. While there, he met his wife, Stacey. They've been married for 14 years and have three children, Joshua, Joseph, and Elizabeth.  Dave and Stacey enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time together as a family.

Josh Thiessen, Assistant Pastor

Josh is a Nebraska native and came to a saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ through the faithful teaching of his parents. He is a graduate
of Excelsior College and the Master's Seminary. The past two years he
has served as a pastoral assistant at Grace Community Church while
finishing his M.Div and Th.M.

He met his wife, Ashley, at OBC in 2009. They serve at the South
campus. He loves evangelism and seeing how the gospel comes alive in
the context of the local church.

As he looks forward to a lifetime of ministry, he is reminded of
Paul's words to Timothy, "I charge you in the presence of God and of
Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his
appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out
of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and
teaching" (2 Tim 4:1-2).

Patrick Abendroth, Senior Pastor

Pat is originally from Omaha and is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. It was during his time at UNL that Pat was converted and became a Christian. After earning his Masters degree from The Master's Seminary in Southern California and serving in two college pastorates, Pat came to Omaha Bible Church as Senior Pastor in 1998. Pat and his wife Molly met at UNL and were married in 1991. They have five children.

Beyond his dynamic expository preaching ministry at Omaha Bible Church, the Lord has seen fit to use Pat through the radio ministry of Truth Matters, seminary lecturing, and speaking at various conferences in the U.S. and abroad. Pat is also the author of "The Truth About Water Baptism."

The motivating factor in Pat's life is: "To glorify Christ by proclaiming His most precious truth. I live for it!"

If you see Pat away from a pulpit, it will likely be on a wakeboard. He and his family are heavily involved in the sport and are passionate about it. For relaxation Pat enjoys riding his Harley Davidson or reading (but not at the same time!).

Pat is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Ministry program at the Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies.

Many of Pat's sermons are available to be heard online.  You may also enjoy subscribing to the OBC podcast at iTunes.

Robby also has enjoyed running several marathons and is determined to qualify for the Boston Marathon someday.

An influential Bible passage in Robby’s life is 2 Corinthians 5:20-21, “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.  He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
