This Sunday evening, Feb. 19th at 6 p.m. is an evening service you don't want to miss at OBC. Pastor Pat Abendroth will take us through he and Pastor Chris Peterson's recent trip to India in the way only he can. He will be sharing the exciting news of the partnership and progress of the gospel in that country through the ministry of Pastor Vineet Sasane, his wife Sayia and the church he pastors in the city of Pune.

In addition, Pastor Pat will spend some time talking about where we are as a church and future plans for ministry. Come and be part of this important evening as we praise God for what he is doing through and among us.

With the roads in pretty good shape and sunshine and light winds forecast for Sunday morning we are going to have our normal schedule of Sunday morning services. Our parking lot will be plowed and the sidewalks shoveled. Pastor Pat will be bringing us news from his recent trip to India and teaching on the Marks of a Faithful Church from Philippians. We look forward to worshiping with you Sunday morning.

Due to road conditions Wednesday evening activities at Omaha Bible Church are canceled for January 11th.

The Ladies' Brunch for this Saturday Dec. 3rd is being postponed due to the Winter Storm Watch and forecasted inclement weather. Please note this Brunch will be rescheduled for sometime in January. Further information will follow soon.

Entitled the "Greatness and Grandeur of God" this year's Fall Family Conference on October 1st from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. features Dr. Bruce Ware, Professor of Christian Theology at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY.  where Albert Mohler is President. Dr. Mohler has called Bruce Ware a courageous and world-class theologian and we have the benefit and priviledge of having him at Omaha Bible Church next weekend. This is an opportunity you do not want to miss.

We will be diving deep into the Word of God with Dr. Ware through study of the book of Isaiah and God's revelation of himself through this prophet. Your entire family is invited as there is child care and age appropriate children's program for those too young to attend the general sessions. Lunch and snacks between sessions are provided as part of your registration.

The cost is $5 per person or $10 for the entire family. The registration fee will be collected on the day of the conference.

Dr. Ware  has authored God's Lesser Glory: The Diminished God of Open Theism, God's Greater Glory: The Exalted God of Scripture and the Christian Faith, and Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: Relationships, Roles, and Relevance. He has also written numerous journal articles, book chapters, and book reviews and, along with Thomas Schreiner, has co-edited The Grace of God and the Bondage of the Will and Still Sovereign.
