Dean Degner

Dean grew up in southeastern South Dakota believing he was a Christian. After joining the military his works-oriented faith was challenged and he was given an understanding of the gospel for the first time. Through studies in the book of Hebrews and one-on-one discipleship, he was convicted of his lost state and by God’s grace alone placed his faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ for salvation.

Dean received his bachelor of science in nursing degree from South Dakota State University and his master’s degree in critical care nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After Dean’s first wife died he married Lori and they have three sons, Paul, Michael and Josh. Dean is the ministry leader for the church newsletter and for the deployment ministry. Dean works as a critical care nurse at the Veteran’s Hospital in Omaha.

Dean has been encouraged by the Psalms, particularly Psalm 145 that praises God for his extraordinary grace, wonderful mercy and unending love; and by James 1:2-4 for its instruction to persevere and endure regardless of what happens during this brief lifetime.

Matt Fudge

Matt Fudge came to Lincoln, Nebraska in the fall of 1997, professing to be a Christian. Matt works in sales, is married to wife Amy, and has two children, Madison and Caleb.

"My favorite verse is probably Romans 6:4 because of the way it quickly says, without question, that God's grace is a transforming grace. His pursuit of His own glory is infused in every work which He begins."
