Purpose
We believe that it is God’s design for His people to be equipped in sound doctrine to serve in the body of Christ. As the church builds up one another in the body, the church grows in maturity according to the image of Christ (Eph. 4.11-13). God is glorified as His Son is reflected in His people (Rom. 8:29).
Distinctives
Since it is God’s plan for His Church to be fueled by great thoughts of God to serve greatly for God, the IBS program systematically and chronologically works through the Omaha Bible Church doctrinal statement (Col. 1:28-29).
Each class will unfold ….
:: the scriptural basis for the central doctrines of Scripture,
:: relate the biblical principles to life and ministry,
:: facilitate interaction in order to encourage a more comprehensive grasp of the biblical truths, and
:: apply the Word personally through class assignments and ministry service projects.
The IBS program will assist the student in completing a personal doctrinal statement that reflects the sound teaching of Scripture.
